As a result of the recent reseeding of the pitches, the club has decided to extend the use of the summer training facilities at Hanham High School and limit the amount of training done at Greenbank.
If you are interested in making use of Greenbank for training purposes then discuss further with John Winter, who would happily arrange a training slot for you. |

Conditions for this tournament couldn't have been more different from those at Longwell Green last month. High winds, torrential rain, thunder. At one point I'm sure I saw a small Under 7s lad hanging on for dear life to a gazebo rope as he flapped about in the wind.
Anyway, Colin Dalton and Roger Hayes kindly agree to do their Steve MacLaren and Graham Taylor impressions in seeing our two squads through the day.

After a great Festival of Football at Coalpit Heath, this was our first formal tournament as a team. John Cole and Rodger Hayes kindly agreed to do their Felipe Scolari and Jose Mourinho impressions in seeing our two squads through the day.
John's team was drawn in Group B. All the parents were very impressed by the superb attitude of all the players in what was a very tough group. Dylan pulled off some tremendous saves, while Ben Emmett curbed his attacking instincts to shore up the defence alongside Big Al Haddrell, whose calm self-assurance and powerful right foot dominated opposition attacks.
