Ashton Girls Under 13’s V AEK BOCO Girls Under 13’s

AEK BOCO faced defeat for only the second time this season when they were narrowly beaten 1-0. In a very competitive game that saw both sides physically and verbally test each other for the duration of the game. Ashton’s goal came midway through the first half when a well placed chip beat Sian Trotter in her first game back from injury.

Georgia Young went close soon after with half volley that saw the keeper scrambling to push away from the goal. Throughout the game BOCO pressed the Ashton defence with them relying on quick counter attacks to relieve the pressure. BOCO had two decent penalty shouts turned down and went close with a couple of shots. A draw may have been a fair but for all of their persistent BOCO couldn’t convert their chances. The disappointed (Bakers ) dozen were, Sian, Cass, Katie, Ellie, Georgia P, Alice (Birthday Girl) Lauren, Georgia Y, Jess, Alicia, Abi, Molly and Lucie.
