With only 10 players every one of you should be very proud of yourselves because the way you passed the ball, created space, trekked back, it looked like there were 12 players on the pitch some times. Everyone put in a 110% performance and to top all of that we achieved another clean sheet.

To say all of that we must say our opponents hosted an excellent game of football and played some great football themselves. They proved to us worthy divisional promotional winners of last season.

The game started well and Will made the Ashton keeper pull out an early save with a great shot outside the 18 yard box. It was the link up play between Will and Jack R to see the first goal scored by Jack who went one on one with the keeper.

Ashton Boys did come close with a shot that skimmed the cross bar before the close of the half time.

The second half saw us play down hill and we moved the ball a lot more quickly. It was Jack R who played in Will who shot the ball past the keeper into the corner of the net for the second, a
nd then the best moment of the game saw Luke play a superb ball which was cleared by an Ashton defender only to hit Jack full on where none of us blokes would want to be hit but Jack managed to take his shot and score before collapsing in a heap (well done Jack that is determination for you).

Will rounded up the day following a precise threaded pass from Bradley to round up 4-0 winners. Our defence stood firm and solid again at the back so well done everyone.
